“Barn 14” is the star of a clearing on the trail. It must have been sight to see during sugaring. I imagine windows glowing, smoke and steam rising up, people and perhaps even horses hard at work. Just up the double track lies a newer sugarhouse. Still today this one stands to be savored at the edge of the tree line. It is a stunning place to break on one of the most beautiful networks. I hope she stands for many years to come.
