This painting has made the journey, she began around 4,000’ at Pico Peak and was completed in my Rutland studio around 500’.
Seeing blanketed color on a mountain side gives me such a sense of awe for the scale of this vibrant, beloved season.
I adore how atmosphere and twilight kept pushing the abundant orange to magenta…violet…rose…
We’ll be skiing here soon but fall is such a spectacular flash in the pan, I had to get this one in!
